About AVOCA iD

Meet the owners - Rob and Katrina

Coming from the land, Rob & Katrina are passionate about the Livestock Industry, and understand the many hurdles that need to be overcome in order to operate a sustainable business in the current environment. Rob and Katrina along with their young family reside on their family cattle property in the upper Brisbane Valley. A huge range of AVOCA iD products including NLIS Tags, Management Tags and Animal Husbandry Products are currently utilised on their family property - meaning Rob and Katrina understand the practical needs of graziers and can advise you on the best solution for your needs. Along with their growing network of friends, neighbours and new acquaintances, they are continuously learning more about the strengths and weaknesses currently facing the market, which enables them to provide better insight for AVOCA iD customers.

Created to meet new marketplace needs

AVOCA iD was established in 2016 when founders, Rob & Katrina Clarkson, discovered during conversation with friends and graziers alike that there were large inconsistencies in price, availability and service amongst NLIS resellers. From there, negotiations began in order to achieve a user friendly, competitive option with superior service offering both Online Ordering, as well as a direct phone call for those who prefer to discuss the options available.

In line with above, AVOCA iD was created to offer the best price, product, and great service. Katrina’s employment history involved being an Agricultural Assistant Manager for one of the ‘Big 4’ banks for the 10 years prior to starting a family where Katrina was the direct contact for several large Agri Portfolio’s. This assisted Katrina in understanding of the level of service appreciated by rural people, and Katrina is enjoying utilising these rapport building skills for AVOCA iD.

Looking ahead to the future of Livestock ID

Although legislations such as the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) are just another change the farmer needs to adjust to, most respect the NLIS commitment to biosecurity and food safety and believe it provides a competitive advantage in our domestic and global market.

Therefore, to assist in respecting the guidelines set, AVOCA iD will continue to monitor all changes to keep our customers and followers up to date.
